Love & Radio in the Time of the Apocalypse
Author • Creative Director • Brand Designer
A full-scale book launch spanning branding, visual identity, social media, promotional video, launch events, and community outreach.
The Challenge
Launching a debut novel in today's publishing landscape means competing for attention in an already crowded market. I wanted to build a campaign that focused less on selling a book and more on inviting readers into the feeling and world of the story.
The Approach
Instead of relying on traditional promotional graphics, I built a visual identity around the novel's central themes of hope, connection, and rebuilding. The campaign emphasized immersive storytelling through short-form video, original artwork, and reader-focused content designed to spark curiosity rather than simply announce a release.
Creative Direction
Instead of the muted grays, reds, and decay often associated with zombie media, I developed a visual language built around growth and light. Deep blues and forest greens establish a sense of quiet magic, while warm yellow light becomes a recurring symbol of hope, radio signals, and human connection.
Campaign Development
It was time to develop a cross-platform marketing campaign that extended the book's visual identity beyond the cover. Every asset was designed to create curiosity, communicate the emotional experience of the novel, and give readers multiple ways to discover the story.
Reels & Social Campaign
I produced and edited promotional reels that translated the atmosphere of the novel into short-form storytelling.

I also designed a cohesive series of social assets that carried the book's visual identity across launch announcements, character art, quotes, and promotional content.
Launch Event
With the book out in the world, I planned and designed a themed launch event celebrating it’s release.
