Something new is growing, and it’s moving through the trees...

It’s 15 years after the apocalypse and humanity is at the mercy of a parasite that turns its hosts into violent, hungry zombies christened “biters”. When 17-year-old Jo, a girl with a dark past and a select form of mutism, loses her protector in a unit mutiny, she sets out into the ravaged world to find him at any cost.

Ezra, 18 and brilliant, dreams of restoring the communication lines between Ambridge and the surrounding safetowns. And also, he hopes, start his own radio broadcast like the ones from the Old World. When he stumbles across Jo in the woods, they find that they can each help each other, that is, if he doesn’t talk her to death first.

“An enchanting take on the zombie apocalypse genre that explores love and connection, art in adversity, and hope that speaks when it gets too dark.”
